ohhhh I could cry

 Have jusr recieved  my sewing machine Brother Innovis !  back from the factory and it has arrived  to me badly damaged so they are collecting it on Tuesday, Thank goodness I have the Innovis 4000D to use , got to do boring things today Like embroider the Twins names on their school jumpers  for ID purposes.

the cup cake quilt is all made up and I am just hand sewing the sparklery bits and bobs and the wide ric rac.

I have been making 2 quilts for my twin granddaughters since making the cup cakes for Jessie the other blue work quilt will now have to go on the back burner as Josie also wants a cup cake quilt,, so this morning I set about cutting out let another 25 cup cakes. Oh the Joys of Twins.............. not much fun making 2 of everything though

Invited my lovely friends and neighbours in for lunch today, they have just had a break in Norfolk and brought me back a basket of lovely homegrown vegetables so I picked about 1 handful of Peas from my perfectic efforts of " Growing your own" and made a lovely Roast Chicken lunch, bag went the diet again

I have our grandson Mitchel staying over for 2 days so Dinosaurs at the ready tomorrow

and here he is dressed as "Woody" when we went to the special Toy Story Party and after that to see the film .

I feel afraid VERY afraid to tell everyone ......................................................................... I must be the I must be the only quilter to have gone to the NEC Birmingham Quilt Festival and NOT to have brought any fabric I am ashamed to wear that badge the reason is that I did not feel OMG I must have it , I adored the Quilts on show and I was inspired by the most amazing talented people.
so other than buying a couple of books Oh and I did buy a BOM which was £41 per month for 12 months ( do not tell Barclays ) and ( thank Goodness for that ) I did have the best day

Planning Christmas Presents a head of time , I always leave things to the last minute, using scraps to make these Christmas stocking this one is for a small girl with a lavender bedroom Have to finish it Friday as..................................................................................... Off to the Birmingham Quilt Fesival tomorrow, it is my first time and I really excited, only going for 1 day , as I do not think I could afford to attend all 3 days , I have a very lag bag on wheels so I am hoping to do some serious shopping thats for sure. going with good friends

quite hard to see the details this quilt started out with a wad of DARLA fabrics that I brought in Alexandra Palce Stitching and Knitting show in London then the pink spot and paisley fabrics was a duvet from a charity shop I thought it was a bit like Kath kidson but my daughter Jemma said it was from Ikea, oh well I am pleased that it looks OK

Pleased to say that the CUP CAKE quilt is finnished well almost only the handsewing to make sure the lace lays flat that mean handsewing around the Quilt 3 times, oh well it keeps me quiet.

I also have a few more beads to decorate the cupcakes with . then time to give to Jessie

My Sewing Studio,,,, Lucky me My Darling husband Ben is an Architect and this used to be a single gargage at the bottom of our garden which we used for junk basicially, he turned it into a self contained granny flat with loo shower fitted kitchen living quarters and bedroom with a walk in wardrobe, our daughter Jemma bagged it as soon as it was finished until she left home for college ,, then my son moved in then he flew the nest , then a friend of mind moved in for 1 year, when she left I moved in and I am staying . it is fabulous, as I used to have a small little box room , and cotton was everywhere and I was forever hoovering up the threads , now I can shut the door and the mess does not worry anyone.

Since taking these photos I realized I have changed the layout and added a PEG BOARD to the main wall so I shall update these photos later .

feeling miserable today ,, weighed in after eating the least I possibly could and only lost 1 miserable lb.. well at least it was a lost.
tomorrow I am planning to finished off the cup cake quilt so if I complete that task I shall be up lifted . then I shall have only 1 more UFO to complete and I shall have a clean slate . YES that my aim
shall be having a very busy weekend babysitting my 3 grand children over night on saturday Plus looking after a friends welsh terrier for 2 days .

I have made this using scraps and it is now in the spare bedroom

The stippling I did on my brother embrodery machine using a free PES embroidery design and using the largest frame each frame took 16 minutes to sew. so almost 2 days of stippling.

Hey Ho it saved money sending it away to get quilted.

I am working on a cup cake Quilt for her and only completed the centre Panel

I have 3 grandaughters they live with Jessica ( my daughter) Paul, my great son in Law, 11 houses from us, we see each other all; the time

Olivia (11 ) this was take a few weeks ago it was her last day a this school

I have made Olivia a Memory Quit which has loads of hand embroidered mementos on which is hard to see in the photos

and Olivia has started her own Quilt which is different handbags I hope this does not end up in the UFO Box .

not a great day of Friday managed to break the cutter on my sewing machine which needs to go back to the manufacturer's to be repaired luckily I have a spare machine, It our grandsons birthday next week so I have made birthday letters which are about 7" x 4" they take about 15minutes each letter so I was totally fed up my the end luckily he is called Max so only 3 letters to his name here is a photo of one which I made for a present last year .

. I am still working on the hexagon quilt sewing the binding on is hard as it has a shaped edge so might end that finished tonight.

Today in between shopping lunch etc etc . I had to make a Tea Cosy of all things as request from my Son in Law actually he has a massive big T pot which is always wrapped in Tea Towels .

actually this is ther 2nd one the first one was about 2" too small.
